Do I need RoleTrail?
No — members, roles, employee records, approvals and payroll all work natively inside a Fullness business workspace. RoleTrail adds HR workflows on top.
Do I need RoleTrail?
No — RoleTrail is optional. Everything payroll and team access needs works natively inside a Fullness business workspace: members, roles and permissions, employee records, the approvals chain and the pay run itself.
What works natively in Fullness
- Workspace members & roles — invite your team and assign roles directly in Fullness (Settings → Members), using the same role-plus-individual-permissions model everywhere.
- Employee records — keep employee profiles with compensation and payment details under Payroll → Employees, and link each employee to their member account.
- Approvals — the spending and payroll approval chain is configured in workspace settings; each step is staffed automatically by whoever holds the matching permission.
- Payroll — pay schedules, deductions, benefits, time & attendance, tax remittance and year-end forms, all posting to your books.
What RoleTrail adds
RoleTrail is our HR and people-operations product. If your business also uses it, it becomes the source of truth for people records — contracts, compensation changes, payment methods and pay-period entries stay in RoleTrail, and each pay run is delivered to Fullness for the money steps: calculate → approve → accrue → pay → payslip. It adds HR workflows like org structure, leave and reviews alongside payroll — it isn't a requirement.
