Manual accounts & CSV import

Not every account can (or needs to) be linked. Use manual accounts and CSV import to capture everything.

Add a manual account

  1. Go to Banking → Add account → Manual account.
  2. Name it, choose the type (checking, savings, cash, credit card, loan, investment) and currency.
  3. Enter the current balance. Update it whenever you like, or add transactions to keep it precise.

Import transactions from CSV

  1. Open the account and choose Import → CSV.
  2. Upload your file and map the columns (date, description, amount, and optionally category).
  3. Review the preview and confirm. Duplicates are detected so you can import safely.
Tip: most banks let you export statements as CSV. Importing a few months of history makes your budgets and reports far more useful from day one.
