Create merchant rules

Rules let you categorize transactions automatically and consistently — they take priority over every other categorization method.

Create a rule

1. Open a transaction and choose Create rule from this, or go to Settings → Categorization rules.
2. Define the match — by merchant name or a text pattern in the description.
3. Choose the category (and optionally a Stash Spot or tag) to apply.
4. Optionally apply the rule to existing matching transactions.

Recurring transactions

Fullness detects recurring charges like subscriptions and bills. Review them under Bills & subscriptions to forecast upcoming spending and catch price increases or unwanted renewals.
